Saleen was founded decades ago by Steve Saleen, a professional racer. The company specializes in making performance parts for performance vehicles, and in building their own custom cars. Only a small number of these are available every year, and you will only find them at authorized Saleen retailers like Ames Ford in Iowa. We can also install Saleen Performance parts on your Mustang or F-150, bringing some of Saleen's magic to your Mustang GT.
Saleen makes a truck that is based off of the Ford F-150, and has a new vehicle that builds off of the resurrected Ford Bronco. Their signature offering, however, is the iconic Saleen 302 Mustang, which is available in a variety of trims. These are referred to as the White, Yellow, and Black labels. Below, we will look at the standout features of the Yellow Label Mustang from Saleen, and compare to the White Label and Black Label models.
Ames Ford is Iowa's only Saleen dealer, and drivers in Des Moines can experience their legendary performance right here in Ames, IA. Our dedicated Performance Department can answer all your questions, and help turn your dream Mustang into a reality. So contact us today to learn more.Â
Yellow Label vs White Label vs Black Label
What are the differences?
The main rule to follow with Saleen Performance vehicles, is that horsepower increases as you move from White to Yellow to Black Label. The Yellow Label represents the biggest jump up, due to the addition of Saleen's famed Supercharger. And as you will see in the charts below, there are also some performance and interior features that differ between Saleen trim levels.Â
