Ready to Rock: Vaughn Gittin Jr's Legacy

With all the options for an aftermarket-modified Ford, let's dive into what makes RTR unique. RTR vehicles didn't spring up from nowhere from some company looking to make a buck. Instead, Vaughn Gittin Jr spent his days modifying a Mustang for racing. Later, he went on to win Formula D championships and built a serious drifting legacy. RTR vehicles reflect Vaughn Gittin Jr's passion for performance, which made the Ford collaboration so natural. Since 2009, the public has had access to these legendary vehicles, beginning with the first Mustang RTR and expanding to vehicles like the 2024 Ford F-150 RTR.

2024 Ford F-150 RTR Features

RTR ensures that the already excellent Ford vehicles they modify are taken to the next level. No aspect is overlooked in improving performance, from weight distribution to aerodynamics. One thing you'll notice about the 2024 F-150 RTR is that the standard engine has not changed from those that Ford offers; the performance upgrades are in different areas on the Ford F-150 RTR. Below, we'll dive into the standard and available features of all RTR F-150s.

Standard Features

On the outside of the F-150 RTR, you'll find an RTR upper grille with LED lighting, an RTR dealer fender and graphics package, and an RTR skid plate to help with off-roading. You'll also find awesome parts installed on the suspension, like the Fox 2.0 performance coilovers. For wheels, you'll find RTR 20” Tech 6 wheels with 295/55R20 tires. Inside, you'll find RTR floor mats and an RTR serialized dash plaque signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Available Upgrades

The F-150 RTR has a few available upgrades. Most notably, drivers can opt for leather seating with the RTR leather package. You can also opt for the RTR supercharger kit, which bumps the powertrain up to 650 horsepower.

Electric RTR Truck: Ford F-150 Lightning Switchgear

Switching gears from the gas-powered F-150 RTR, RTR's version of the F-150 Lightning, the Switchgear is truly an innovative masterpiece that bests all other electric trucks. Even though it has the same battery pack and chassis as the Ford F-150 Lightning, its capability is dramatically improved. To do this, it has a fully customized suspension requiring a lot of extra parts, including those from Fox. An upgraded braking package allows for more efficient regenerative braking while also being as responsive as ever. To increase its prowess on the trail, it's got a modified lower bumper, and an increased clearance as well.

What's the kicker behind this powerhouse of a truck? It's not yet available as a ready-made RTR vehicle. However, we're happy to build it for you from the available RTR parts to make it just like the Switchback, which is not yet available to the public.
