Before we get into it, it’s important to note that the Shelby F-150 Super Snake is different from the Shelby Super Snake; one is a truck, and the other is a Mustang; essentially, you can get an F-150 or a Mustang in ‘Super Snake.’

Shelby Super Snake and Super Snake Sport

If you’re more in the market for a speedy night on the town, the F-150 Super Snake and Super Snake Sport are more up your alley. With a lowered suspension on these Muscle trucks comes wildly improved handling, especially at high speeds. This pairs well with the grippy, sport road tires equipped on the Shelby Super Snake F-150 and Super Snake Sport.

Shelby F-150 vs. Shelby Super F-150 Super Snake

One main difference between the Shelby F-150 and the Shelby Super Snake and Super Snake Sport is the ground clearance. The Shelby F-150 has a Shelby by Fox suspension system with improved clearance and performance, while the Shelby Super Snake and Sport have a lowered suspension system also for enhanced performance. To accompany this, the Shelby F-150 comes with rugged capabilities like off-road tires, perfect for an outdoor adventure.

Buyers can also opt for the F-150 Super Snake and the Shelby F-150 in the Carrol Shelby centennial edition, which has the option for an even more astronomical horsepower, as discussed below.

Shelby F-150: Powertrain and Performance

Enthusiasts and purists alike will be pleased with the powertrain of the Shelby F-150 models. All F-150s modified by Shelby are equipped with a Ford 5.0L V8 engine. There’s the option to add a Whipple supercharger that brings it up to a whopping 775 horsepower. Along with the supercharger is an upgraded air intake system, performance heat exchanger, and high-flow fuel injectors. All F-150s modified by Shelby come with a Borla Performance Exhaust as well.

If 775 horsepower isn’t enough for you, don’t be alarmed. The Carrol Shelby Centennial edition of both the Super Snake F-150 and the Shelby F-150 have 800 horsepower available to them with the upgraded, Shelby-engineered supercharger on the same engine. The centennial edition also gives the Shelby F-150 access to the dual intake ram air hood for improved performance.

Along the lines of performance, the Shelby Super Snake F-150 and Super Snake Sport have a dual intake ram air Shelby hood, which looks good and performs well. All Shelby F-150 models come with a tonneau cover and a Shelby bed rug liner as well. The Ford badge on the improved airflow grille is replaced with sleek Shelby lettering, so everyone knows your F-150 has performance in its pedigree. Shelby F-150 models are outfitted with Shelby rocker panel graphics and body rally stripes, giving it a proper performance truck feel.

All Shelby F-150 models have two-tone leather recovers on the seating with embroidered headrests, which begins to give the Shelby F-150 its racing feel. To contribute to this are the Billet racing pedals found on all Shelby F-150 models, the carbon fiber interior, and the Shelby floor mats.
