RTR: An Impressive Legacy

In 2009, three years after Vaughn Gittin Jr built his first Ford Mustang for racing, RTR (Ready to Rock) vehicles became available to the public. Shortly after that, Ford and RTR began a legendary partnership. Along with Vaughn Gittin Jr’s involvement in formula drift racing, Ford even consulted with Vaughn Gittin Jr for the addition of the optional electronic drift brake to their own Mustangs.

Lindsay Ross, RTR vehicles lead designer and creative director, has created something truly exceptional with the 2024 RTR Mustang. RTR Mustang vs. Mustang: Key Differences

Every Mustang RTR isn’t the same. Drivers have the option of having their RTR Mustang based on either the Mustang GT or the Mustang EcoBoost. Along with all of that optionality comes even more; the RTR Mustang is offered at three different trim levels, all with excellent additions on top of the base vehicle. 2024 Mustang RTR Design Package

While the RTR Mustang design package doesn’t do anything to directly improve the performance, bear in mind that this is no issue to most drivers, given the Mustang’s incredible quality.

The Mustang RTR Design Package is more than just a graphics package, though. It comes with an RTR upper grill, RTR lower grill, RTR decklid panel, a dash plaque signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr, and RTR Tech 5 or Tech Mesh wheels. It also comes standard with a rear decklid spoiler or a gurney flap. Like all Mustang RTR models, it comes with a signature certificate as well.

2024 Mustang RTR Spec 1

The 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 1 is a spectacular vehicle loaded with performance upgrades on top of everything featured in the Design Package. You’ll find a variety of upgrades that make the Mustang RTR Spec 1 handle like a dream on the RTR tactical performance suspension which includes RTR lowering springs and more.

What’s more is the inclusion of RTR floor mats, RTR performance shift knob, and the serialized dash plaque signed by Vaughn Gittin Jr in the interior. On the exterior, you’ll find an LED air intake and Nitto NT555 G2 tires.

2024 Mustang RTR Spec 2

The Mustang RTR Spec 2 is the definition of performance. The Mustang RTR Spec 2 is even more seriously tuned up than the Mustang RTR Spec 1. There are even more performance upgrades on the Mustang RTR Spec 2 while still having all of the features of lower trims. This is especially true with the RTR components pushing the handling to the next level with the rear sway bars, front sway bars, RTR rear shock mount kit, adjustable front struts, and rear shocks. You’ll also find an RTR chin splitter, rocker splitters, and a hood vent as well to make sure the cold air flows.
