Saleen Mustang White Label vs Black Label

The engine thrums as you push the pedal down. As you leap off the starting line, the world blurs. You're pressed back into the seat by the acceleration of your Saleen Mustang. The feeling of raw power is unmatched by anything you've ever driven before. It also doesn't hurt that the inside of the vehicle is so well-appointed.

For decades Saleen has been one of the premier names in performance vehicles. The company makes incredible versions of Ford vehicles, including the Saleen Bronco. The vehicle that really put the company on the map was, however, the Saleen 302 Mustang. This amazing vehicle is available in three trims, each more impressive than the last. We're going to take a look at the entry-level White Label and the top-tier Black Label trims.

Is the White Label version of the Saleen Mustang the entry-level model? Sure. Does it perform like a normal entry-level vehicle? Not one bit! It features a 302CI 4-valve DOHC V8 engine that makes a whopping 500 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft. of torque. Again, imagine yourself sitting at the wheel of this finely-tuned performance machine with a 500 horsepower V8 at your disposal. You'll be able to shoot from 0 to 60 in just 4.2 seconds!

This superb engine is paired with a manual 6-speed transmission that allows Des Moines drivers to get the most out of their Saleen Mustang. The White Label version of the vehicle also features RaceCraft springs, a performance-tuned sway bar, and stunning 20" wheels.

The Black Label version of Saleen's masterpiece takes the dial and turns it past 10. It has a 4-valve DOHC V8, just like the White Label, but with the specially tuned Saleen Supercharger with Low Pressure Drop Intercoolers the Saleen 302 Mustang Black Label makes 800 horsepower and 630 lb.-ft. of torque. You'll hit 60 in less than 4 seconds!

This version of the vehicle features a 6-speed manual too, which drivers can switch for an automatic transmission if they see fit. In fact, the Saleen Mustang has lots of customizable parts: the manual version of the car comes standard with a 3.55:1 Final Gear Ratio Limited-Slip Differential, but that can be swapped out for a 3.73:1 ratio.

Performance and Style

While Saleen was clearly focused on performance in building this vehicle, they did not build a hollowed-out vehicle with no creature comforts. When you're driving your friends around the Boone area in this beast of a vehicle you'll want them to be comfortable, after all - at least until you put the engine to the test!

The White Label has available leather seating to compliment the embroidered Saleen headrests that every Saleen Mustang includes. The Black Label has custom leather-and-alcantara seating as a standard feature, reflecting its place as the top dog. Every model has a serialized dash plaque and custom floor mats, so your friends never forget that you're driving one heck of a performance vehicle.

Find the Saleen Mustang at Ames Ford Lincoln

Saleen includes serialized dash plaques in their vehicles for a reason: they're exclusive. They can be hard to find. A lot of people enjoy the feeling of the monstrous V8 engines that power the Saleen Mustang lineup. Luckily for Marshalltown drivers, Ames Ford Lincoln is Iowa's #1 performance vehicle dealer. We can help you find the exact Saleen Mustang you're looking for! We're also happy to do business with the out-of-state folks looking for these fine vehicles - just reach out to us.
