The Black Label 302 comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission that enjoys a 3.55:1 Final Gear Ratio Limited-Slip Differential and a Synchronized Short-Throw Shifter. Drivers can, however, opt for a 3.73:1 ratio if they prefer. Those that like to focus on the open road instead of the transmission can opt for a 10-speed Auto Transmission with SelectShift, Paddle Shifters, and a remote start function. These drivers can choose between 3.15:1 and 3.55:1 Final Gear Ration Limited-Slip Differentials.
The transmission is not the only feature of the 302 that is subject to customization. The Black Label Mustang comes standard with silver Monaco 5-spoke alloy wheels (20" x 9.5" in the front and 20" x 11" in the back) that can be swapped out for chrome or carbonite.
This version of the Saleen 302 also has a number of other features that are not available on the White or Yellow labels. These include the following:
- A front air vane with brake cooling
- High downforce carbon fiber air splitter
- Saleen's center induction hood and heat extractor hood vents
- Carbon side skirts
This is to say nothing of the many cosmetic and luxury features that the Saleen 302 Mustang enjoys. Some of the highlights on this point are the embroidered model designation trunk mat (which is only found on the Black Label) and the wealth of exterior decorations, like the Saleen Championship Wreath decal.
