Under the MKZ's Hood

Three different powertrains are available for the 2017 Lincoln MKZ. The first is with the standard engine, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 275 lb-ft of torque and 245 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard with this engine, and so is a push-button gear shift coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available as an alternative to the front-wheel drive. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that you will get up to 31 miles per gallon (mpg) highway, 21 mpg city and 24 mpg combined with this engine. A new turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 can be had on Select and Reserve models. This engine produces 400 lb-ft of torque and 350 horsepower. The last engine comes on the MKZ Hybrid and is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder mated to a lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor.

Design of Lincoln MKZ

Premiere, Select and Reserve are the three trim levels available for the 2017 Lincoln MKZ. However, there is a special Black Label version available as well. The base Premiere model comes with 18-inch wheels, heated mirrors, LED taillights, rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, memory settings for the driver’s seat, leatherette upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and more. The Select comes with power-folding outside mirrors, an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror, genuine wood trim, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable steering wheel, front seats with four-way power lumbar and other features. An available Select Plus package includes rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring and a navigation system. The Reserve comes with a power trunk lid and several other fantastic features.
