The 2015 Ford F-350 is one of Ford's heavy-duty pickup trucks. It sits right in the middle of the F-150 and F-450 model lineup. The F-350 can be optioned with 6.75 foot or 8 foot bed with regular, super cab or crew cabin cabs. The F-350 can comfortably carry up to 6 people in certain configurations. Among its competitors are Chevy Silverado 2500, the GMC Sierra and the Ram trucks.
Powering the Ford F-350
The F-350 is available with either a 6.2L gas engine or 6.7L TurboDiesel V-8 and both are teamed with a beefy 6 speed automatic transmission. Both engines offer exception power and the 6.7L TurboDiesel offers a mind blowing 860 lbs-ft of torque. For towing, the F-350 gets commercial-level 19.5 Inch wheels, new suspension components, and beefier brakes. The new maximum towing capacity for the F-350 is up to 26,700 lbs.
The 2015 F-350's Design
Its hard to miss the F-350. Like Ford's other trucks, the F-350 sports a massive front grille and equally large tailgate with "Super Duty" stamped boldly on the bottom. The F-350 can be optioned with regular, super cab or crew cabin cabs and with 6.75 foot or 8 foot beds. A regular cab F-350 with an 8 foot bed is the shortest version with 227.6" in length. The largest checks in at 263 " which is almost 22 longer than a 2015 Civic.
Ford takes safety seriously and the F-350 sports quite a bit of safety technology. The Ford Personal Safety System includes front and side impact airbags and Safety Canopy System. The Ford F-350 comes standard with AdvanceTrac with RSC, and trailer sway control.
